Charlotte P. Bingham APRN, FNP-C

UTMB

Coming from a family full of nurses, Charlotte always had a heart for serving others.  She was born and raised in Lufkin, TX, attending Lufkin ISD and enjoying Horseback Riding, Basketball, Girl Scouts, and church activities. Due to the transfer of her father's job, she left Lufkin moving to Kingwood, TX in High School. After graduating from Kingwood High School, she attended Blinn College and University of Houston for her pre-requisites and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX in 1999.

Charlotte started her nursing career working with patients across the lifespan for the first 12 years of her career in multiple settings. These included Newborn Nursery, Level 2 Nursery, Pediatrics (inpatient floor, ER, and outpatient clinic), Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Medical Surgical, Geriatric Home Health, and Elementary School Nursing. A large portion of this time was spent with uninsured and medically under-served populations in Houston. Her objective was to gain experience in multiple aspects of nursing prior to returning to school to reach her goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She continued her education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2012. After becoming certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked her first four years in Family and Internal Medicine office practices, gaining invaluable experience treating acute and chronic medical conditions, providing preventative health care, and patient education. The next four years were spent working with home-bound elderly and debilitated patients in their homes and at facilities. During the COVID 19 pandemic, she worked to meet her community's needs bringing House-call and Telehealth visits to patients in her community.

Charlotte and Andrew Bingham and their two children have longed to return to East TX to enjoy a slower paced life. They love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time at their family Camp House in the Huntington area. They have moved to Huntington, TX and are currently getting settled in their new community. Their son Cole attends school in Huntington, and their daughter, Brady is now attending College in the area. The family has become active in the community and hope to continue to find ways to contribute to the City of Huntington and the people who call it home.

Their mission is to increase access to Primary Care in the underserved areas of East Texas. They hope their passion for serving others, and providing quality healthcare will benefit the residents of Huntington and the surrounding areas.
